OK K.O. "Commercial" and "Power Up"

Posted by SandraDRivas - April 26th, 2019

I'm really busy but I thought I would show some of my old work to stay active on this site.

Couple years back, I got to work with Studio Yotta and help animate some promotional shorts for the show OK K.O. on Cartoon Network. I think I showed "Enid's Bad Day" and "Barrels and Crates", so here's some work from "Power Up" and "Commercial".

Power Up was fun because I had Forosha do the layouts for my shots and I animated from them.

I think I only cleaned up one shot and she and Nicole cleaned up the rest. My memory is terrible...

I know Paul cleaned up one of my shots, and I got to clean one of his shots haha! He's been a great coworker/friend and I like collaborating with him.

That short was probably my favorite to work on. I always wanted to animate from Forosha's drawings.

I only worked on scene for the short, which turned into a collab.

If I remember correctly, Joel drew a couple keys, I animated and cleaned up, Niall colored the animation, and Jake animated and cleaned up the explosion effects.

But I think that was 11 shots I worked on in total. Still feels good to this day!

In regards to this year there's a lot more I wanna talk about like my interview for a documentary. Sorry I haven't able to post art or be active in general. Between the game and the pilot I have to catch up on (and also personal errands), it's been hard to make time to do anything else.

I have been animating! It's all just secret atm. I'm excited to show them soon!

I was the sound guy on that documentary! It's cool to see your work and exciting to see you still ever present on Newgrounds. Since briefly chatting about it on set, I got back into Hollow Knight on your recommendation and it's been an endless wellspring of inspiration, just like you said. So thanks for that suggestion! And for the interview, of course!

This update was a nice read, fun to see into the production side of stuff. Hope all your secret projects go well!
